Dementia is not a singular condition, and no two people will experience it in exactly the same way. For the people you support, it may bring changes in memory, communication, behaviour and emotional wellbeing that unfold gradually and require skilled, responsive care.

In this module, we'll explore what dementia is, how it affects daily life and wellbeing, and the person-centred approaches, communication strategies and reporting responsibilities that underpin good dementia care in both residential and domiciliary settings.
