Safeguarding children is everyone's responsibility, not just those who work directly with young people. Whether you work in a care home, visit people in their own homes, or work in a supporting role, you may encounter a child who needs someone to speak up for them, and knowing what to look for could make a real difference to their safety and wellbeing.

In this Level 1 awareness module, we'll cover the main types of child maltreatment, the key risks of child exploitation and online harm, the legislation that underpins safeguarding children in England, and how to recognise, record, report and refer a concern.
