Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility. Even though interacting with children is not part of your everyday role as a home care worker, there may be times when you encounter children while in a client’s home. This Ausmed Training Module will equip you with the knowledge needed to recognise and respond to actual or suspected child abuse or maltreatment, including what immediate actions to take and how to record an incident. As a home care worker, you are in a unique position to help safeguard children and speak up if something doesn’t seem right.
