Mentoring, preceptorship, and coaching are three important types of relationships in clinical settings. Although the three terms are different, each describes a relationship between people. This microcredential aims to give an insight into these relationships and discuss how they can be applied in practice. Feedback and communication will also be discussed, as these are essential skills in all relationships. In particular, this microcredential will focus on how to give and receive feedback, forms of communication, communication skills, barriers to communication, and strategies to deal with difficult communication situations.
This microcredential is the third in a series of three corresponding to the unit of study 249 Introduction to Leadership and Management.
