Nothing! It is 100% free for individuals and organisations to use.
Ausmed created the Aged Care Training Passport because of a belief that all training should be as impactful as possible. By providing eight common mandatory training items free to all aged care workers, Ausmed can support the aged care sector to focus their learning and development resources and employee time more efficiently on initiatives that will positively impact their organisations - and especially - the unique care needs of their clients.
It depends. Mandatory training activities can be recorded as CPD provided that they are relevant to your context of practice, related to a current learning goal and where they include new learning. For example, routine annual fire training cannot be recorded; however, if new knowledge is gained during mandatory training (e.g. initial COVID-19 pandemic education and training) then this could be recorded.
The Aged Care Training Passport allows you to easily prove your core knowledge of the aged care sector wherever you go. This means you have more ownership of your mandatory training and can avoid repeating training when moving between aged care providers, or when working for multiple aged care providers simultaneously.
Yes. Upon completion of the eight core training items, you will be able to download your certificate as a PDF to evidence you have completed the training. Alternatively, you will be given a unique URL of your certificate that can be shared with anyone.
The Aged Care Training Passport includes the following topics and learning objectives.
